Explaining Tiny Url to someone

(Disclaimer:  Written with no tiny url research at all, just the fact that I use the small size of the url often)
First let me say to all you non-tweeters (people who don't tweet, twitter non grata) or you, people that like to clog up this information/spamformation highway, we like to call the internet aka the interweb.  Well, you can shorten all those folders, redic characters, blah, blah, blah, well stuff you don't understand.  It's called Tiny Url.  You can basically take a large url and make it tiny.  It's like reverse drawf surgery, a boob reduction, or rather a take something big, and make it small, like when women say something is small but minus a few inches.  Tiny Url's have been around for years, but there's never been a name til now.

When you, the end user, have 140 characters to deal with, or 160, but that's a different story, and you, yourself need to promote yourself, as people sometimes do.  Crazy I know!! Everyone needs 140 characters to have small voice be heard.  [Hence the whole twitter idea.]  Only 140 characters?  How am I supposed to complain? (Easy, that was only 52 characters).

You might even go as far as saying that twitter is the Willow Ufgood of blogging, while the tiny url is the Kiaya Ufgood of Urls.

....The more you know
